Stylist Guide

Win more jobs with faster quotes

This guide covers everything from setting up your stylist profile to getting paid. Learn how to stand out, win more work, and streamline your quoting process.

1

Set up your profile

Register at listingsready.com.au/register and choose "Property Stylist".

You'll need your ABN (Australian Business Number) — this is required for the tax invoices ListingsReady generates for you.

Enter your business name and business address during registration.

Once logged in, go to Profile to complete your setup:

Details tab: Add your bio, service areas (suburbs you cover), and portfolio links (Instagram, website).

Services tab: List the styling services you offer — e.g. "Full styling", "Partial styling", "Occupied styling", "Luxury styling". Agents see these when requesting quotes.

Terms tab: Set your cancellation policy, furniture care terms, payment terms, and damage policy. Being upfront about terms builds trust with agents.

2

Receive quote requests from agents

When an agent requests a quote from you, you'll receive a notification and an email with the property details.

Go to your Jobs tab (labelled "Jobs" in the sidebar) to see all incoming quote requests.

Each request includes: property address, type, bedrooms, bathrooms, rooms to style, occupancy status (vacant, owner-occupied, or tenanted), preferred setup date, style preference, and any additional notes.

Agents can send the same request to multiple stylists, so responding quickly gives you an advantage.

3

Submit your quote

Open the job and click to submit your quote.

Enter your quote amount (ex-GST) and GST — ListingsReady calculates the total automatically.

Add a description of what's included: furniture pieces, styling approach, delivery logistics.

Set the proposed setup date and collection date (when furniture will be picked up after the campaign).

Click "Submit Quote" — the agent is notified immediately and can review your quote alongside any others they've received.

If the agent accepts your quote, the job status changes to "Accepted" and you can start planning the styling.

4

Manage the styling job

Once accepted, update the job status as you progress through the workflow:

Setup — You're delivering and setting up furniture at the property.

Styled — The property is styled and ready for photography. The agent's photographer booking should align with this date.

Collection — The campaign has ended and you're picking up furniture.

Completed — Everything has been collected and the job is done.

Each status update notifies the agent, so they always know where things stand.

5

Invoice and get paid

After the job is completed, go to Invoices and create a new invoice linked to the styling job.

ListingsReady auto-fills the description with the property address and pulls in your ABN and business details for ATO compliance.

Enter the amount, GST, and due date. The invoice is created as a draft — review it before sending.

Click "Send" to email the invoice to the agent. If they have a bookkeeper, the bookkeeper is CC'd automatically.

Download a PDF copy for your records. Every invoice includes: "TAX INVOICE" heading, your ABN, business name, address, GST shown separately, and total — all ATO-compliant.

If payment passes the due date, use the "Nudge" button to send a polite reminder.

Tips for winning more jobs

Respond to quote requests within 24 hours — agents often accept the first detailed quote they receive.

Include a thorough description in your quote: which rooms, how many pieces, your styling approach. The more detail, the more confident the agent feels.

Price competitively but don't undercut yourself. Agents value quality and reliability over the cheapest option.

Keep your service list and areas up to date. Agents filter by area and service type, so make sure you appear in the right searches.

Build your profile with portfolio links — agents check Instagram and websites to see your style before requesting a quote.

After completed jobs, great reviews from agents boost your visibility. Aim for 4.5+ star ratings.
